About the centre
Foreign Languages Centre “Patuljak” was founded in 1998 with the aim to offer something new and creative in the field of foreign languages teaching. The founder of the centre, Marijana Matic, M.A. in English literature and B.A. in Scandinavian languages, started this story with idea that learning of foreign language can and should be fun and easy. Starting with the fact that children learn best through play, she decided to transfer this principle to the teaching of adults, with the help of audio and visual material.
Ten years later the hard work and the quality were recognized by British Council and the centre reached a status of Addvantage SILVER member. Today, we are proud to say taht we have reached GOLD membership, as well.
Presently, The Centre offers a range of programmes, from pre-school children to adults, all of which are based on The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The best proofs of our quality and tradition are numerous students that have successfully gone through our school and a great number of Cambridge ESOL certificates gained with our help. The thing we are proud of the most in our Centre is friendly relationship with our students that always come back to visit us and inform us about their successes in life.
All of our teachers have gone through teacher training and the Centre eagerly invests in continuing education of its staff.
